The “gripiness” of these shoes is what I was after. I had hip replacement and wanted sure footing when I began riding my bike again. These feel PERFECT inside and out. I like the color too. Lightweight material with an extra pair of laces to match the accent color you choose. Cute too, sporty enough to wear with RL shorts, etc.I wore this on three trips to the BWCA this summer and they were perfect! Supportive and gripped well when walking over wet rocks. Drained well. No rocks in my shoes!I have been trying to experience less pain. I have had chronic issues for decades. I'll spare the reader the details, but I'll just say that they see regarding my muscular-skeletal condition. It led me to reading about minimalist shoes, learning more about feet, etc.The argument for allowing toes to spread, strengthening the many muscles throughout our feet, and other justifications for more having arch support and such was compelling enough for me to give these a try.It was a tough call. There are many brands and models. I also purchased the hemp loyaks, but I felt pain just putting my feet into them. ? I had to return them. But so far, in this week of wearing these (grey) loyaks, my feet seem to be in a pretty good state (for me). Mine out, I've been experiencing extremely tight and sore muscles in my hips, back, and neck. HOWEVER, I am not claiming that they are the shoes, because I already know what's going on in my body. And it's sad. Therefore, as far as how my day feel, I'm enjoying these. How it's affecting my issues with arthritis, ridiculously, extremely tight muscles, muscle spasms, scoliosis, sciatica, one leg effectively (not actually) shorter than the other, ad naudeum, I my know. But I'm going to try to let these cool shoes inspire and motivate me to step up increase my efforts to improve my condition. So there all that.I like that I can feel what I'm walking on. It makes sense that it would allow is to react in a more natural way. More agile. More in-touch.My Nike Flex shoes are lightweight, but dangerous on wet cement (not wet cement. I mean, when cement *gets* wet.).These are nice and grippy. I don't worry whether I'll slip in these.Unexpectedly, they came with dusty rose shoelaces in addition to the grey laces.I love these. I’ve used them with wool socks on colder days and without of the hotter! These shoes make days on the River comfortable and supported.Great product... Ready for White Water Adventure!I wish these came in half sizes, but I ended up buying both a 7 and an 8. The 8 were too big and slipped off and I bought them to hike in Hawaii. The 7’s were snug but once broke in stretched out. I have narrow feet so they were easy to get on and off but I know some people said they were difficult to get on. They were perfect for my trip. I swam with them on and hiked. I did get a little blister but only the first day while they were getting broken in. I want to get more in different colors. Great outdoor shoe. These shoes are good for wet situations. I use them gardening and to wash animals, etc. Much better than sandels or tennis shoes.. I love the green color and they dry quickly. I am not giving them 5 stars because they are difficult to slip on. I think they have to be to not allow debris in, but it is an issue, although hey are getting better with time. They are also very lightweight but again, I think that is necessary for them to dry quickly. Absolutely great if you are doing sonething that gets your feet wet. I would not use these shoes as casual wear however. .They're very comfortable. I love them!
