I used this pump to drain out a half-acre pond full of water in two days. On the second day I put in too much lube oil mistakenly, then the pump stopped working. The seller's tech support correctly pointed to the probable cause of the non-working condition and of the belching-out black smoke. Based on their advice, I discharged excess oil and the pump worked fine. This pump has an excellent pumping capacity that suits most of my needs. I own a country home with sporadic water pumping needs and this pump is ideal for such purposes.Works well right out of the box one tug starts I've run 15 tanks of fuel thu and still going strong. Although run time varies with throttle position 8 hours at half throttle or less. Buy a better strainer the plastic just they give is junk and fell apart. Also be prepared to buy more fittings. Worth the money for what you get.I purchased pump to irrigate from my 1 acre pond. It worked fine for bout 8 total, then a loud crack and it stopped.Since there is no return for this item, I contacted the seller.They asked if I could get the part locally and if i would send photos.Did all this and still no results.I then found Bilt Hard phone number. Now maybe there will be some sort of resolution.After a few emails and call Bilt Hard has sent me a whole new pump and engine.I thank them for that, but am still confused why a new part for this can NOT be had.We loved that it was powerful enough to draw water from our pond and bring it 300 feet to our garden area. We are very satisfied with it!Have used it a few times and so far it works great. Moves a lot of water quickly.Pump is easy to start. Always pulls a suction and powers pop-up sprinkles. Runs several hours on tank of fuel. Has enough flow and pressure for a 2” hose and 1 1/2 “ fire nozzle. Happy with performance looking forward to years of serviceWorks Great.We needed a semi-trash pump to pump water from a ditch for irrigation. Pumps starts within a couple of pulls and has great suction.
