I bought this for outside use along with 20 lbs of play sand (Classic Sand and Play). The kids love it. It's a great height, taller than a typical water table. Assembly is very easy, just 8 screws and then you set the bin on top of the legs. It feels sturdy. The actual setup is two bins, both with some raised sea creature indentations. It did not bother the kids or interfere with play. We started with 20 lbs of sand in one side and that seemed like a good amount. Then we put water in the other side. Of course, the kids immediately began mixing the water and sand, but oh well! Each bin also has a drain with a valve on it, so you can gently open the valve to allow (mostly) water to come out while preserving the sand. It's a nice feature. One bin also has a little 'water slide' channel for the kids to dump a little water in and watch it go down the slide. The top of the table is my only real complaint. It just rests on top of the bins instead of snapping on, so I wonder if a significant wind will send it flying. It also has circles in it so you'll definitely get pooling water there. Not sure that the top was really designed with outdoor use in mind. But still, I'm very happy with this table and would highly recommend it.As a side note, watch those caster wheels. Once you have a bunch of sand and water in this and decide to move the table, be careful you don't run over little toes.
